November News

Good morning everyone.

Isn’t this a great fall day, enjoy it because winter is coming.  Speaking of winter, do you realize there is just 51 more days before Christmas.  We are gearing up for Christmas with gift ideas for teachers (how many mugs can a teacher use).  Stop in for some new and different ideas.

As we live in the north we tend to knit with Wool (both regular and superwash) and also Alpaca (softer than Charmin).  We also have wool blends, with silk, acrylic and other fibers.  There is a yarn for everyone to create beautiful shawls, cowls, hats, mittens and on and on.

Anyone who has not turned in their hats, scarves and knockers for the Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Knitting.  I will be delivering them to the Foley Cancer Center in Rutland early next week.

New yarn just in today Juniper Moon Farm’s:  Findley Dappled, this is an extra fine merino wool and mulberry silk blend.  This has 1798 yards is only $30.  Other favorites include Big Wheel by Cascade, Pinwheel by Cascade, Ella Rae’s Maypole and Cozy Soft, Malabrigo (just got in new colors), Katia’s New Nepal, Juniper Moon;s Moonshine, Noro and many kinds of sock yarn including Indulgence.  Stop in to see what is the right yarn for you.

Lessons are available to meet your needs and convenience.  Call or stop in to discuss what you are looking for (beginner 101, socks, sweaters, scarves, mittens and more).  We have someone that can teach spinning and crocheting as well.  Also, a single stand triangular loom for shawls and ponchos.

If you are stuck for an idea for your knitting friends, we have African Market Baskets, kits and Gift Certificates.

We honor all major credit cards.  We have a layaway plan for your convenience with a 25% deposit and 25% each of the next three weeks.

One last thing; This Saturday, November 7th is Bag Sale Day.  I will be offering 20% off non-sale items.  Williams True Hardware, Discount Foods of Poultney and the Original Vermont Store will also have bag sales.
