The Stitchy Women Blog Where Knit Happens!

December Newsletter

I don’t know where the year has gone since I opened in February.  The Holidays are fast approaching.  Are you ready?  Are your projects done and wrapped (just kidding).  You are probably like me and knitting up a storm to get ready for the holidays.

I’ve restocked the Lopi, Green Mountain Spinnery, Brown Sheep, Cascade, Crystal Palace, Noro and Debbie Bliss.

I have recently added Cherry Tree Hill yarn to my line including sock, bulky and worsted weight and also a worsted weight yarn that has a glitter to it.  I will be visiting Harrisville Mills in Harrisville, New Hampshire to check out the mill and add their yarn to my line.  They also make spinning wheels and looms of all sizes.

January classes:

We are excited to begin offering classes again after the first of the year.  Classes are generally on Saturdays or Thursday evenings.  Please call or e-mail us and let us know what you would like to see offered.  Classes will be posted on my web site (stitchywomen.com).

By popular demand we will continue to have sock, felting, mitten and sweater classes.

Be sure to join us for the next beaded scarf class.  We had twelve

ladies in attendance and wish to thank Kathy for her expertise as an avid knitter.  She really is an artist in everything she does.

Patterns & Books

Fiber Trend Patterns are so unique, be sure to check out the felted animal patterns.  Many of the animals are on display.  We have restocked the One Skein Wonder books again.  They have just come out with a third One Skein Wonder Book with diverse projects.  I think this is the best one yet.

Policy:

Yarn on Hold – I’ll happily hold yarn for you for 1 week without a deposit, but I will need payment in full after that date.

Layaway – If you need to put yarn on layaway, I will accommodate you with a 25% deposit and a 25% payment each week.
