December Newsletter

We will be starting the season with a three day Christmas Open House,  starting Thursday, November 20th and continue  thru Saturday, November 22nd.

We will be offering Mystery Discounts up to 30%, door prizes and of course a cup of coffee, cider and other goodies.

Time to get going started on those Christmas Projects.

Some suggestions: socks, hats, mittens, sweaters, Christmas stockings, felted bags with the sky being the limit for ideas.

We will have a gift registry, make up Gift Baskets and of course Gift Certificates are always available to make it easier for your loved ones to get you just what you want.

Patterns & Books:

We have restocked the One Skein Wonder Books, again and there is now a fourth one.  They are great books  with diverse projects.  I’ve added several other books too:  socks, mittens, scarves etc.

Needles:  I have ordered Addi Turbo Needles as requested by several Divas.  I am told that the 12” circular, sizes 0 thru 4 are great for socks.  I am also carrying the Addi in the 24”

and  40” lengths.  You will need the 40” to do two socks at one time.

Classes

Classes are available, if you are unable to make a scheduled class, call and we will arrange a time for you.

December 13th,  2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  We will be having our first two socks at a time on one circular needle.  Call to reserve your spot.  Class will be limited to 6.  A second class will be scheduled for a Thursday evening, call for more information.

Classes Continued

We will teach the ever popular Victorian scarf and will have the other beaded patterns within a week or so.  We can also set up a class in those as well.

New Yarns

I have added Classic Elite Yarns to my inventory, Alpaca Sock Yarn, Inca Alpaca, Inca Alpaca Marl, Princess and Tweed.  All are at a reasonable price.

Plymouth Yarn Baby Alpaca Brushed Paint.  You have never felt anything so soft.  This should be available for the Christmas Open House as I have received verification that it has been shipped.

Other new yarns include Silky Wool, Fantasy Linen and Ella Rae’s  Silkience.

Social Knitting

You are always invited to join our social knitting on Thursday Evenings from 6:00 to 8:00.

We have nine ladies doing the block a month afghan.  Each has chosen one block and we are all knitting our own choice of colors.  It will be neat to see how each person will place their blocks.  It will take nine months to complete as there are 54 squares and should make up to approximately 6’ by 4’.  We will have a show and tell party upon finishing.
